At 6:32 on January 12, the G1136 train on the Guangzhou-9 passenger section of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai Transportation Group carried more than 700 migrant workers from Jingmen, Hubei from Guangdong. The train was a special train for the charity high-speed railway return home organized by the Jingmen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau and the Guangzhou-Zhi Railway Group. It is also the first special train for the charity return home from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area this year.
"In the past, there were only green trains to take when returning to Jingmen. Now the high-speed train can go directly to the door of your house in 7 hours. It is 9 hours faster than before. You can enjoy the scenery along the way home on the way home." Han Xu, who works in clothing pattern design in Guangzhou, told reporters excitedly that before the Jingjing High-speed Railway was opened, she could only take the 16-hour ordinary train when she went home, or transfer to a bus in Wuhan. Not only did she go home for a long time, but she also struggled. At the end of last year, the high-speed train was opened in her hometown, and the road home was smoother, and she was very excited.
"We have set up a special meeting point for migrant workers, opened a green channel for entry and security checks, and arranged 12 volunteers to provide ride guidance, key personnel assistance and other services at subway, bus stations and other transportation connections, so as to facilitate migrant workers to quickly enter the station and board the bus." Qian Qilong, the on-duty station manager of Guangzhou South Station, introduced.
Guangdong Railway Group will launch special trains to Bijie, Guiyang, Jingmen and other directions before the festival, making the journey home for migrant workers more convenient, comfortable and warmer. After the holiday, the railway department will launch "return to work trains" in Hunan, Guangxi, Guizhou and other directions according to the resumption of work and production arrangements of local governments and enterprises at all levels, and make every effort to ensure the employment needs of enterprises.
