At the meeting, Wang Zhizhong, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Public Security and Director of the State Immigration Administration, introduced that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, immigration management work injected new impetus into "Open China" and "Vibrant China".

Focus on serving to build a new development pattern, actively connect with high-level openness layout, explore and innovate more than 50 new immigration management policies that are more open and more convenient, effectively serve the high-quality development of the country's "Belt and Road", the construction of free trade pilot zones, and the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, actively promote the cross-border flow of personnel and factors, help build a new open economy system at a higher level, and inject new vitality into the country's open development.

Focus on serving the strategy of strengthening the country with talents, innovate and implement more active and open and effective policies and systems for attracting talents and talents, and promote the construction of a full-process response system such as entry visas, stay-and-residence, and integration services. Immigration management helps achieve double growth in the quantity and quality of attracting talents and talents. Focus on promoting international exchanges and exchanges, actively promote and optimize various visa-free policies, and implement unilateral visa-free or comprehensive mutual visa-free for 75 countries; the number of countries with transit visa-free has been expanded to 55, and the number of ports of entry has increased to 60 ports in 24 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), and the stay time has been extended to 240 hours, greatly facilitating foreigners' travel, trade and visits to China.

From January to June this year, 19.15 million foreigners came to China at ports across the country, an increase of 30% year-on-year, of which 13.64 million foreigners were allowed to enter without visa, accounting for 71.2%, an increase of 53.9% year-on-year. The visa-free policy dividends have been continuously released, which has enhanced China's exchanges and exchanges with people from all over the world, brought emotions closer and friendship.
