CCTV News (News Network): At 22:47 on August 15, after about 6.5 hours of cabin exit activities, Shenzhou 20 astronauts Chen Dong, Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie closely cooperated and successfully completed the third cabin exit mission with the cooperation and support of ground scientific researchers.
At around 16:00 on August 15, astronaut Chen Dong opened the door of the weather gate and left the cabin. This was the sixth out-of-cabin activity of astronaut Chen Dong, and he also became the Chinese astronaut who performed the most missions outside the cabin. Astronaut Chen Dong, wearing a blue striped outer cabin suit, boarded the automatic foot limiter at the end of the robotic arm. Then, the robotic arm began to move, and Chen Dong used a camera and a thermal imager to patrol the outside of the space station.
At around 16:50, astronaut Wang Jie was in the cabin and worked in coordination with Chen Dong. This is Wang Jie's first out of the cabin, and he has also become the second space flight engineer to perform outside the cabin. During the extra-cabin activity, astronaut Chen Zhongrui provided support in Tianhe core cabin.
At 22:47, after completing the installation of space debris protection devices and extra-cabin auxiliary facilities, and patrol of extra-cabin equipment facilities. Astronauts Chen Dong and Wang Jie returned to Tianhe core cabin safely, and the out-of-cabin activity was a complete success. The main task of this outflow is to identify the thermal characteristics of key equipment outside the cabin, which will play a traction and leadership role in subsequent model development and the development of thermal control majors.
At present, the crew's "space business trip" has exceeded half, and the various space science experiments undertaken are being steadily advanced. In the future, the focus will be on space science research and technical experiments in the fields of space life science, microgravity basic physics, space materials science, aerospace medicine, new aerospace technologies, etc.
