Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Singapore are friendly neighbors and important partners. In the past 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have adhered to mutual respect, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation. Shandaman said that in 2023, Singapore-China relations will be upgraded to a comprehensive and high-quality forward-looking partnership. The intergovernmental cooperation projects between the two countries continue to be promoted, adding new features and showing forward-lookingness. The two sides have adapted to the requirements of the development of the times and actively expanded cooperation in new fields, and the people of the two countries have continuously tightened the humanistic ties. I firmly believe that New China and China will continue to work closely together to push bilateral relations to a new height.
On the same day, Premier Li Qiang and Singapore Prime Minister Wong Xuncai sent congratulatory messages.
