In 2024, Simola Wa Village received 430,000 tourists and achieved tourism revenue of 6.4611 million yuan. The per capita disposable income of villagers reached more than 24,000 yuan, doubled from five years ago.

One skill and one art continues the glorious chapter of the literary context, and one brick and one tile protects the historical mark. During the Spring Festival, the strong New Year atmosphere is coming to the ancient city of Pingyao, Shanxi.

The Pingyao Ancient City, with a history of more than 2,800 years, is a world cultural heritage and one of the most preserved ancient cities in my country. On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2022, General Secretary Xi Jinping climbed the city wall to overlook the entire ancient city. He pointed out that we must comprehensively protect historical and cultural heritage, coordinate tourism development, characteristic management, and protection of ancient cities, and protect the precious wealth left to us by our predecessors. In order to implement the General Secretary's requirements, Pingyao has formulated 4 categories and 47 specific tasks, including increasing protection efforts, inheriting culture in a lively manner, innovating industrial development, and deepening the integration of culture and tourism. It has successively built intangible cultural heritage museums that display 137 skills, repaired 72 ancient streets and alleys, and repaired 506 courtyards. Before this Spring Festival, the infrastructure renovation project of Pingyao Ancient City was also fully completed, and the problems such as water, electricity, and gas that once affected the lives of residents in the ancient city were completely solved. The thousand-year-old ancient city has become new forever.
