CCTV News (News Network): Recently, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the "Regulations on Ideological and Political Work of the Communist Party of China" (hereinafter referred to as the "Regulations") and issued a notice requiring all regions and departments to comply with and implement it seriously.

The notice pointed out that ideological and political work is the party's fine tradition, distinctive characteristics and prominent political advantages. The Regulations are guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and taken the Party Constitution as the fundamental basis to summarize the historical experience of the Party’s leadership of ideological and political work, especially the theoretical and practical experience of ideological and political work in the new era, and further clarify the system and mechanism, work responsibilities, content methods, goals and tasks of ideological and political work. This is of great significance for upholding and strengthening the Party’s overall leadership over ideological and political work and improving the scientific, institutionalized and standardized level of ideological and political work. The notice requires that party committees (party groups) at all levels should earnestly grasp the study, publicity and implementation of the Regulations, strengthen supervision and inspection of the progress of ideological and political work, and ensure that all provisions of the Regulations are implemented. Party organizations at all levels should deeply understand the extreme importance of ideological and political work from a political and overall perspective, and earnestly carry out ideological and political work with a high degree of ideological awareness and strong sense of responsibility, and give full play to the leading role of ideological and political work. All Party members, especially leading cadres, should strengthen party spirit training and carry out ideological and political work by example. We must build a strong ideological and political work team and promote ideological and political work to continuously create new situations. All regions and departments should promptly report important situations and suggestions in the implementation of the Regulations.
