The development of various countries cannot be separated from an international environment of openness and cooperation, and no one can retreat to a self-enclosed island. We must unswervingly promote the construction of an open world economy, share opportunities and achieve win-win results in opening up; safeguard the multilateral trading system with the World Trade Organization as the core, and resist all forms of protectionism; advocate universal and inclusive economic globalization, place development at the center of the international agenda, and allow southern countries around the world to participate in international cooperation and share the fruits of development. Third, adhere to unity and cooperation, and gather joint efforts to develop together. The population of BRICS countries accounts for nearly half of the world, their total economic volume accounts for about 30% of the world, and their total trade volume accounts for one-fifth of the world. The closer the cooperation between BRICS countries, the more confident they have to deal with external risks and challenges, the more solutions and the better the results. China is willing to work with other BRICS countries to implement the global development initiative, promote high-quality joint construction of the "Belt and Road", give full play to their respective advantages, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and create more cooperation results in the fields of economy, trade, finance, science and technology, so that the "Big BRICS cooperation" will be more solid, have more momentum, have greater impact, and better benefit people of all countries.
