CCTV News: The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission reported that according to the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision: With the approval of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision filed a case for serious violations of discipline and law by Yi Xianrong, an alternate member of the 12th Hubei Provincial Party Committee, former member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Hubei Provincial Department of Civil Affairs, and investigated the serious violations of discipline and laws.

After investigation, it was found that Yi Xianrong lost his ideals and beliefs, deviated from his original mission, colluded with others, transferred and concealed the property involved in the case, and opposed organizational review; ignored the spirit of the Central Eight Regulations and accepted gifts in violation of regulations; violated organizational principles, so as to seek benefits for others in cadres and personnel work; incorrectly performed his duties, and was indifferent to statistical fraud; corrupt life; used his power for personal gain, engaged in power-for-money transactions, used his position to make profits for others in project contracting, project payment settlement, etc., and illegally accepted huge amounts of property; made arbitrary decisions, abused his power, and caused huge economic losses.

Yi Xianrong seriously violated the Party’s political discipline, organizational discipline, integrity discipline, work discipline and life discipline, constituted serious violations of duty and suspected of bribery and abuse of power, and did not restrain himself or stop after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The nature is serious and the impact is bad, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with the "Regulations on Disciplinary Punishment of the Communist Party of China", "Supervision Law of the People's Republic of China", "Administrative Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China" and other relevant regulations, after discussion by the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and after research and approval by the Standing Committee of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, it was decided to expel Yi Xianrong from the Party; the Hubei Provincial Supervision Commission will expel him from public office; terminate his qualifications as a representative of the 20th National Congress of the Party and a representative of the 12th Party Congress of Hubei Province; transfer his suspected criminal issues to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, and transfer the property involved together. The punishment of expelling him from the Party will be ratified when the plenary meeting of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee is convened.
