CCTV News: The "CCTV Financial Excavator Index" created by CCTV Finance released the latest data for February on March 17. Excavators are the "standard configuration" of infrastructure construction and the "barometer" for reflecting and observing economic changes such as fixed asset investment.

"CCTV Financial Excavator Index" shows that in February 2025, the national construction machinery operation rate was 35.10%. Although February spans the Spring Festival and Lantern Festival, the comprehensive operating rate has increased year-on-year and month-on-month in Hebei, Ningxia, Xinjiang, Gansu, Shandong, Tianjin, Beijing and Qinghai. The operating rates in Anhui, Hubei, Henan, Zhejiang, Fujian, Chongqing and Jiangxi exceed 50%.

From the specific equipment, in February, the average operating rate of lifting equipment nationwide was 56.63%, far exceeding other major equipment. Lifting equipment is often used in large-scale equipment installation, structural lifting and other links. The high operating rate reflects the accelerated launch of major infrastructure projects in many places in the beginning of 2025.
