Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 23 (Reporters Lin Hongmei and Wang Qiuyun) my country will build 50% of the country's densely populated areas and key disaster belts to cover aviation rescue, aviation emergency rescue in the core areas of urban agglomerations will reach 30 minutes of response, and key disaster belts will achieve 1 hour of response.
This is what the reporter learned at the founding meeting of the Aviation Emergency Rescue Branch of the China Disaster Defense Association on the 23rd.
On the same day, the Aviation Emergency Rescue Branch of the China Disaster Defense Association was established in Beijing. Yan Peng, honorary president of the branch, said that my country's natural disasters occur frequently. With its advantages of rapid response, all-area maneuver and three-dimensional rescue, aviation emergency rescue can effectively respond to the complex situation of multiple disasters and concurrent disasters, and build a "air lifeline" for the affected and trapped people, and minimize casualties and losses. Yan Peng introduced that after years of hard work, my country's aviation emergency rescue construction has achieved certain results, but there is still a gap compared with the international market. For example, countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries have established a complete aviation emergency rescue system.
Zheng Guoguang, president of the China Disaster Defense Association, told reporters that aviation emergency rescue is an important part of my country's emergency rescue system. The aviation emergency rescue branch should establish the development concept of "active prevention and control, scientific and technological empowerment, social governance, and international cooperation" and organize all forces to actively participate in various emergency rescue operations.
Liu Daxiang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, suggested in an interview with reporters that the construction and development of a modern aviation emergency rescue system should be promoted in stages and steps. From 2025 to 2030, 50% of the country's densely populated areas and key disaster belts will be covered by aviation rescue, the core areas of the urban agglomeration will be responded to by 30 minutes, and key disaster belts will be responded to by 1 hour.
China Disaster Defense Association is the only national first-level community organization in the field of comprehensive disaster prevention, mitigation and relief. The Aviation Emergency Rescue Branch is a newly approved branch of the China Disaster Defense Association.
