On May 19, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the investigative authority) issued an announcement, deciding to launch an anti-dumping investigation on imported copolypolyformaldehyde originating from the United States, the European Union, Taiwan and Japan. The investigative agency finally determined that imported copolymer polyformaldehyde originating from the United States, the European Union, Taiwan and Japan had dumping, and the copolymer polyformaldehyde industry in mainland China was substantially damaged, and there was a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage.
According to Article 38 of the Anti-Dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce proposes to the State Council's Tariff Commission to impose anti-dumping duties. The State Council's Tariff Commission makes a decision based on the recommendations of the Ministry of Commerce that from May 19, 2025, anti-dumping duties will be imposed on imported copolymer polyformaldehyde originating from the United States, the European Union, Taiwan and Japan.
Copolymer polyformaldehyde has good mechanical comprehensive properties such as high mechanical strength, high fatigue resistance, and high creep resistance. It can partially replace metal materials such as copper, zinc, tin, and lead. It can be directly used or modified for automotive accessories, electronics and electrical appliances, industrial machinery, daily necessities, sports equipment, medical equipment, pipeline fittings, construction and building materials and other fields.
