Last week, Shenzhou 20 astronauts observed the microbial effect mechanism research sample in the cell tissue culture module in the biotechnology experimental cabinet. Compared with the previous video, the appearance of the sample has changed significantly. The low-temperature storage environment is a necessary condition for conducting space biological science experiments. The low-temperature storage device in the Wentian Experimental Cabin can provide my country's space station with a long-term and long-lasting low-temperature biological sample storage function. The crew inspected it and completed the status check. In addition, Shenzhou 20 will restart the node cabin for exit activities. The crew will conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the three sets of out-of-cabin space suits in the station, and complete relevant equipment status inspections and settings.
With the close cooperation of ground scientific researchers, the Shen Twenty Crew also completed the first system-wide pressure emergency drill since its entry, simulating the entire process of emergency response between astronauts and ground personnel when the space station faces internal pressure loss.
It is understood that during the six months in orbit, Shenzhou 20 crew will continue to carry out 59 space science experiments and technical tests, astronauts will also implement astronauts' out-of-cabin activities and cargo entry and exit, carry out popular science education and public welfare activities, and continue to give full play to the comprehensive application benefits of the space station.
