In the first two months of this year, ASEAN and China's import and export of goods continued this trend and continued to maintain China's position as the largest trading partner.
According to customs statistics, my country's imports and exports to ASEAN in the first two months of this year were 1.03 trillion yuan, an increase of 4%, accounting for 15.8% of my country's total import and export value during the same period.
Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs said: "In the first two months, my country's import and export growth rate to ASEAN was 5.2 percentage points higher than the overall, and it has maintained growth for 12 consecutive months. This year, my country and many ASEAN countries ushered in an important year of diplomatic relations. With the acceleration of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone 3.0 version, bilateral trade between my country and ASEAN will enter a new stage."
Guangxi is the forefront of my country's opening up to ASEAN. In the first two months, Guangxi's imports and exports to ASEAN increased by 14.3%. According to statistics from Nanning Customs, in the first two months of 2025, Guangxi's imports and exports reached 125.37 billion yuan, the scale of foreign trade hit a record high in the same period, an increase of 21.5% year-on-year. As a number of new energy, smelting, papermaking and other enterprises in Guangxi continue to promote processing trade in resource-based products, Guangxi's processing trade imports and exports increased significantly by 73% in the first two months. In addition, industrial development has driven a significant increase in exports of related products, and Guangxi's exports of automobiles and spare parts, paper and their products, household appliances and lithium batteries have increased significantly, with growth rates reaching 57.7%, 53.8%, 81.5% and 112.4% respectively.
