The 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting closed in Beijing today (March 31). A number of scientific and technological achievements including artificial intelligence, embodied intelligence, quantum information, etc. were released in a concentrated manner, marking that Beijing's continuous consolidation of the construction base of the International Science and Technology Innovation Center.

In Huairou Science City on the shore of Yanqi Lake, among 37 major scientific and technological infrastructures and platforms, high-energy synchronous radiation light sources have successfully emitted the first beam of light; at the Beijing Institute of Quantum Information Science, the storage time of photoacoustic quantum memory has reached a world record, reaching 4035 seconds; in the field of original innovative brain-computer interfaces, "Beiwang No. 1" has completed the first batch of flexible high-throughput semi-invasive wireless fully implanted brain-computer systems in the world.
To integrate scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, Beijing actively builds a platform and continuously improves the system and mechanism. In 2024, the revenue of Beijing's core artificial intelligence industry exceeded 300 billion yuan. This year, Beijing will accelerate the layout of the intelligent computing power industry ecosystem in Haidian, Chaoyang, Yizhuang, Jingxi and other places, and promote scientific and technological innovation in emerging fields such as autonomous driving, commercial aerospace, and smart logistics. In Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park, this native robot model independently developed by a Beijing company has made new progress recently and has been able to complete more than 100 complex operations such as chopstick clips and precise operating tools.
As of now, Beijing has 115 unicorn enterprises, 1,035 specialized and new "little giant" enterprises, and 29,700 national high-tech enterprises. The number of three types of enterprises ranks first among cities in the country. It has formed three trillion-level industrial clusters, namely new information technology, science and technology services, medicine and health, as well as seven trillion-level industrial clusters such as intelligent manufacturing and equipment, and artificial intelligence.
This year, Beijing will plan to deploy and implement 230 key tasks around strengthening the leadership of strategic scientific and technological forces, the construction of Zhongguancun's world-leading science and technology parks, and build a municipal-level science and technology project coordination management system, and establish a "four list" promotion mechanism for key enterprise scheduling, key policy measures, major projects, and key tasks.
