CCTV News: On March 30, the reporter learned from the National Pipeline Network Group that the natural gas pipeline network connectivity project in southern my country - the Fujian and Guangdong Natural Gas Pipeline Network Connection Project has officially started construction, and my country's natural gas "one network in the country" has been further tightened. The total length of the Fujian Natural Gas Pipeline Network and Guangdong Natural Gas Pipeline Network is 23.46 kilometers. It starts from the Zhao'an Branch Transportation Station in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province and ends at the Raoping Branch Transportation Station in Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province. The design pressure is 10 MPa and the design annual gas transmission capacity is 1.058 billion cubic meters. According to staff, after the project is completed, the operation breakpoint of the natural gas pipeline network between Fujian Province and Guangdong Province will be opened, and the interconnection between the Haixi Pipeline Network and the Guangdong Province Natural Gas Main Pipeline Network will be completed, so as to meet the anti-transportation of LNG liquefied natural gas resources in southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong, and realize the two-way transportation of natural gas resources in southern Fujian and eastern Guangdong.

Interconnection and fully play the role of "one network in the country"

Since the "14th Five-Year Plan", my country's oil and gas pipeline network has entered a new stage of development of physical interconnection and fair and open services. The "one network in the country" connecting the east and west and the north and south is accelerating its formation.

With the advancement of energy transformation under the national "dual carbon" goal, my country has comprehensively accelerated the construction of key projects for natural gas trunk channels, pipeline network interconnection, and gas storage and peak shaving. The China-Russia East Line natural gas pipeline is fully connected and operated at full capacity, and strategic projects such as Sichuan-East Gas Transportation Second Line have been accelerated. Provincial pipelines such as Guangdong, Zhejiang, Gansu, Fujian, and Hainan have been integrated into the "national one network". The hard bottleneck of oil and gas infrastructure supply guarantee capacity has been basically eliminated, and the national energy guarantee capacity has been significantly improved. The relevant person in charge said that the National Pipeline Network Group continues to strengthen the long-term mechanism for stable natural gas supply, accelerate the implementation of the natural gas storage and transportation facilities interconnection project, and continuously build a diversified natural gas supply system and a multi-level natural gas reserve system. Over the past five years, the growth rate of natural gas primary pipeline transmission capacity has reached 76%, and the interconnected supply capacity has increased by 74%.

At present, the total mileage of my country's main oil and gas pipeline network exceeds 100,000 kilometers, and the gas transmission capacity has increased from 223 billion cubic meters in 2020 to the current 394 billion cubic meters, an increase of 76%. According to the plan, by 2025, my country's natural gas "one national network" that spans east-west, runs north-south, covers the whole country, and connects overseas will be more perfect. The construction of a natural gas trunk pipeline network pattern of "five vertical and five horizontal" will further improve the oil and gas supply guarantee capacity.
