CCTV News: According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, since the beginning of winter, most of the country has had less precipitation and high temperatures, soil moisture loss has accelerated, and drought has emerged in some areas. The meteorological department predicts that from January 23 to 27, my country will have a large-scale rain, snow and cold wave weather process, which may have a certain impact on winter agricultural production.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs attaches great importance to it. On the basis of sending 14 expert groups to guide drought resistance in the early stage, it recently issued a notice to make further arrangements for agricultural and rural departments at all levels to do a good job in the current agricultural drought resistance and cold wave prevention. At the same time, three working groups were sent to key provinces to investigate the seedling conditions, soil moisture conditions and drought conditions on the spot, and promote the implementation of measures to ensure the safety of agricultural production.

The second is to guide scientific drought resistance. Guide local governments to improve drought resistance technical solutions and help solve practical difficulties in production. Go deep into the production front line and implement measures such as scientific watering and spraying growth regulators. The third is to respond to the cold wave. Guide local governments to keep a close eye on the rain, snow, cold wave weather process, implement crop management in fields, strengthen vegetable greenhouses and other breeding facilities, promptly remove snow, prevent cold and keep warm, and reasonably regulate temperature and humidity.
