On April 13, President Xi Jinping and Indonesian President Prabowo exchanged congratulatory messages to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia.

Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Indonesia are good neighbors across the sea and good partners with a shared destiny. In the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two sides have been in the same boat through thick and thin, and sincerely cooperated, the relationship between the two countries has developed rapidly, and the friendship between China and Indonesia has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Last year, I met with Mr. President twice and agreed to firmly support each other's national development vision, work together to follow their respective modernization paths, build a China-Indonesia community with shared future with regional and global influence, and lead bilateral relations to a new level.

Xi Jinping stressed that China and Indonesia are both major developing countries and important forces in the "Global South", and their cooperation has strategic significance and global influence. I attach great importance to the development of China-Indonesia relations and am willing to work with the President to take the opportunity of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, further deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries, strengthen multilateral strategic coordination, continuously enrich the contemporary connotation of China-Indonesia community with a shared future, build a model for sincerity and unity of major developing countries, a model for common development, and a pioneer in South-South cooperation, and jointly promote the cause of human progress.

Prabowo said in his congratulatory message that on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia, on behalf of the Indonesian government and the Indonesian people, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to President Xi Jinping and the Chinese people. Indonesia and China have a long history and the partnership between the two countries is strong and vibrant. The cooperation between the two sides continues to advance rapidly.
