CCTV News: According to the Ministry of Commerce website, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce responded to reporters' questions on the industrial competitiveness investigation of imported medical CT tubes.

A reporter asked: We have noticed that the Ministry of Commerce website issued an announcement to initiate an industrial competitiveness survey on imported medical CT bulb tubes. Can you introduce the relevant situation?

A: This investigation is the first industrial competitiveness survey initiated by the Ministry of Commerce in response to domestic industry applications. According to Article 36 of the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce may conduct an investigation into the impact of imports on domestic industries and their competitiveness.

Preliminary evidence submitted by the applicant shows that China's medical CT bulb industry started late and the industry is in a period of development. Due to the impact of imported products, domestic industries have difficulty in operating operations and industrial competitiveness have been adversely affected. Based on this, the applicant requested the Ministry of Commerce to conduct an investigation on the impact of imports on domestic industries and their competitiveness.

I want to emphasize that the industrial competitiveness survey is a factual survey. This survey does not target specific countries and regions and does not affect normal trade. The investigative agency will fully protect the rights of all interested parties and conduct investigations objectively and impartially in accordance with the law.
