CCTV News: Recently, China's "visa-free effect" has boosted inbound tourism. Especially since the New Year, "China travel" has continued to set off a wave, and many foreign tourists come to China to celebrate the New Year's Day. Some tourism platforms predict that the number of foreign tourists traveling to China during this year's Spring Festival will increase by 203% compared with the same period last year. Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular press conference held on January 14 that tourists from all over the world are welcome to spend the Spring Festival together in China.
Guo Jiakun said that as China continues to expand the scope of visa-free countries and various facilitation measures are continuously optimized, more and more foreign tourists come to China to "check in". Last year, the number of foreigners entering and leaving the ports reached 64.882 million, an increase of 82.9% year-on-year. During the just-passed New Year's Day holiday, the number of foreigners entering the country increased by nearly 34% year-on-year.
There is less than twenty days left to be the Chinese Lunar New Year, which is the first Spring Festival after the successful application for World Heritage. We welcome tourists from all over the world to spend the Spring Festival in China, feel the strong New Year atmosphere, and welcome the happy and healthy Year of the Snake together.
