CCTV News: On the afternoon of March 15, as prefabricated piers weighing about 3,000 tons were accurately connected with offshore pile foundations, the first prefabricated pier lifting operation of the Xiamen Bridge (Xiamen Section) project was completed, marking that the project's main line bridge entered a new stage of assembly construction, and the rapid implementation mode of "land-sea collaboration, intelligent assembly" for project construction was launched.
The main line of Xiamen Bridge (Xiamen Section) is about 17.34 kilometers long, with a total of 85 piers on the entire line, and is constructed using assembly construction. The so-called assembly construction means that some structural parts of the bridge are transported to the site and directly assembled after being uniformly produced by the factory. This process is like "building blocks" in the sea.
The first lifted pier platform is 18 meters long, 13.8 meters wide, 13.4 meters high, and weighs about 3,000 tons. During the lifting process, the construction unit adopted an intelligent position adjustment system for super large prefabricated piers, upgrading traditional manual operation adjustments to "maritime digital brain" automatic deviation correction, realizing "one-time lifting and precise placement".
It is understood that after the completion of the Xiamen Bridge (Xiamen section), it will further improve the layout of Xiamen's cross-sea channel, alleviate the traffic pressure in and out of the island, and lay the foundation for realizing the transportation infrastructure connection with Kinmen in the future.
