Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, March 12th Xinhua News Agency is authorized to broadcast the "Government Work Report" delivered by Premier Li Qiang on behalf of the State Council at the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress on the 12th. On March 11, the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress voted to pass a resolution on the government work report and approved the report.

The report is divided into three parts: 1. Review of work in 2024; 2. Overall requirements and policy orientations for economic and social development in 2025; 3. Government work tasks in 2025. The report pointed out that the main expected development goals for this year are: GDP growth of about 5%; urban surveyed unemployment rate is about 5.5%, and urban employment is more than 12 million new urban jobs; consumer prices increase by about 2%; residents' income growth is synchronized with economic growth; international payment balance remains basically balanced; grain output is about 1.4 trillion jin; energy consumption per unit of GDP is reduced by about 3%, and ecological environment quality continues to improve.
