Japan attempts to create "one China, one Taiwan". Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council: As a country with historical responsibilities, it should handle Taiwan-related issues carefully
On February 26, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference. A reporter asked: It is reported that the Japanese Ministry of Justice allows Taiwanese people in Japan to change the "China" registered in their place of origin to "Taiwan" from May. What are your comments on this?
Spokeman Zhu Fenglian said that there is only one China in the world, and Taiwan is part of China. Japan's relevant actions attempt to create "two Chinas" and "one China and one Taiwan", seriously violate the one-China principle and seriously interfere in China's internal affairs. We firmly oppose this. As a country that bears historical culprits on the Taiwan issue, Japan should learn from historical lessons, be cautious in words and actions, abide by the one-China principle and the spirit of the four political documents of China and Japan, and handle Taiwan-related issues carefully. He warned the DPP authorities that misjudging the situation "relying on foreign countries to seek independence" is doomed to fail.
