Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 25th. The 14th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress closed in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the morning of the 25th. Chairman Zhao Leji presided over the closing meeting.

161 members of the Standing Committee attended the meeting, and the number of attendees met the quorum.

The meeting passed the draft work report of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress in principle. The Chairman's Meeting suggested entrusting Chairman Zhao Leji to report on behalf of the Standing Committee to the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress.

The meeting voted to pass the report of the National People's Congress Standing Committee on the qualifications of individual representatives.

After voting, the meeting appointed Lou Yangsheng as the deputy chairman of the National People's Congress Education, Science, Culture and Health Committee, and Wang Menghui as the deputy chairman of the National People's Congress Environmental and Resource Protection Committee; Li Gao was removed from his position as a member of the National People's Congress Environmental and Resource Protection Committee; and Zhang Xinmin was appointed as the deputy secretary-general of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

After voting, the meeting appointed Gao Xiaoli as the vice president of the Supreme People's Court.

The meeting also voted to pass other appointment and removal proposals.

The meeting voted to pass the draft agenda of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress, the draft list of the presidium and the secretary-general, and decided to submit it to the preparatory meeting of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress for deliberation; it voted to pass the list of attendees at the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress, etc.

Li Hongzhong, Wang Dongming, Xiao Jie, Zheng Jianbang, Ding Zhongli, Hao Mingjin, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tie Ning, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Luosang Jiangcun, Xueklai Zaker, and Secretary-General Liu Qi attended the meeting.

State Affairs Committee Member Wu Zhenglong, President of the Supreme People's Court Zhang Jun, Procurator General Ying Yong, Responsible persons of the National Supervisory Commission, Members of the National People's Congress of various special committees, responsible persons of the People's Congress Standing Committees of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, main responsible persons of the Standing Committees of the People's Congress of some sub-provincial cities, and responsible persons of relevant departments attended the meeting.

After the closing meeting, the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress held a special lecture on the 15th lecture, chaired by Chairman Zhao Leji. Liu Zheng, deputy director of the Central Social Work Department, gave a lecture entitled "Deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions and solidly promote the modernization of grassroots governance."
