Relevant officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently stated that they will classify the high-quality development of assistance industries in poverty-stricken areas and improve the comprehensive benefits and competitiveness of assistance industries.

According to reports, after continuous assistance since the transition period, the assistance industries in poverty-stricken areas have continued to develop and grow. All 832 poverty-stricken counties across the country have cultivated and formed 2-3 characteristic leading industries, with a total output value of more than 1.7 trillion yuan. Nearly three-quarters of the poverty-stricken population have established an interest linkage mechanism with new agricultural operators. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to improve the mechanism for connecting farmers to lead farmers this year, so that the assistance industries will become a people-enriching industry that will continue to drive farmers' income to increase their income.

Mildan Mugaiti, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, said: "We must strengthen the integrated management of assistance funds, projects and assets, and work with the human resources and social security departments to implement a new package of employment assistance measures to stabilize the scale of employment and improve the quality of employment."
