This morning (February 18), in the offshore waters of Lingshui, Hainan, a new data compartment was placed into the seabed and connected to the operating submarine data center to build a cluster of submarine intelligent computing centers in Hainan.

According to reports, the newly placed data compartment in the subsea is a pressure vessel, 18 meters long and 3.6 meters in diameter, and more than 400 high-performance servers can be placed inside, and it can be connected to the client data terminal through a shore station on the nearby ground.

The current computing power of the Undersea Intelligent Computing Center Cluster is equivalent to about 30,000 high-end gaming computers operating simultaneously, and can complete the calculation volume of an ordinary computer in one second. It can support the DeepSeek-based intelligent assistant to conduct about 7,000 intelligent sessions per second.

The Intelligent Computing Center Cluster uses seawater as a natural cold source to improve computing power efficiency and saves a lot of land, fresh water and electricity. At present, it has signed contracts with nearly 10 companies and will be applied to artificial intelligence big model training and reasoning, industrial simulation, game production, and marine scientific research.
