All parts of the country have vigorously developed the ice and snow economy based on their own characteristics. The "Several Opinions on Stimulating the Vitality of the Ice and Snow Economy with the High-Quality Development of Ice and Snow Sports" issued by the General Office of the State Council proposes that focusing on the key of "full industrial chain", promoting the ice and snow economy to become a new growth point, and pointing out the direction for making the ice and snow economy bigger and better.

The ice and snow economy includes ice and snow sports, ice and snow tourism, ice and snow equipment and other related industries, forming a huge industrial system. After years of development, my country has basically formed an ice and snow industry system based on the construction and operation of ice and snow facilities, ice and snow sports as the core, ice and snow tourism as the driving force, and ice and snow equipment manufacturing as the support. The gradual formation of the ice and snow industry chain not only enhances the added value and competitiveness of the ice and snow industry, but also provides strong support for the sustainable development of the ice and snow industry.

The overall development trend of my country's ice and snow industry is improving, but compared with countries with mature ice and snow economy, there are still some shortcomings. For example, the upstream and downstream linkage development of the ice and snow economic industry chain is not closely linked, the supply of funds, talents, land use and other factors is insufficient, high-end ice and snow events are insufficient, and the conversion rate of ice and snow scientific and technological achievements is relatively low. To further stimulate the vitality of the ice and snow economy, we should focus on the entire industrial chain and promote the coordinated development of the entire chain of the ice and snow industry.

Fill in the development shortcomings. At this stage, the weak links in the development of the ice and snow industry are mainly reflected in the two major aspects of venues and populations. The insufficient supply of ice and snow sports venues has limited the popularization and development of ice and snow sports. The ice and snow sports people are still mainly experiential, and the motivation to drive consumption is lacking. To solve these problems, we must continuously increase the construction of ice and snow facilities through the "Hundred Cities and Thousand Ice" plan to provide venue support for the general public to participate in ice and snow sports.
