However, the negative reactions and disguised obstruction of the DPP authorities are like pouring cold water on their enthusiasm.

  As we all know, the crux of cross-strait tourism problems are interfering and obstructing by the DPP authorities, and whether there is any communication between the "Small Two Sessions" of tourism. Communication between the "Small Two Sessions" is not a prerequisite for restoring cross-strait tourism. After the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in early 2020, the DPP authorities unilaterally banned mainland residents from traveling to Taiwan despite the provisions of the relevant cross-strait agreements, and also banned travel agencies on the island from operating team tours for Taiwanese residents to mainland China, and did not communicate with the mainland through the "Small Two Sessions". In 2024, mainland residents' travel to Matsu and Kinmen has resumed one after another, without communication from the "Small Two Sessions". However, in order to further restore mainland residents' travel to Taiwan, in November 2024, we considered the request of the Taiwan Tourism Association and agreed to the visit of the Taiwan Tourism Association and met with the Ocean Tourism Association. However, the Taiwan Tourism Association temporarily canceled the itinerary on the grounds that the budget was insufficient. Before the Spring Festival, while Fujian and Shanghai cross-border groups made requests to relevant Taiwan parties to inspect Taiwan, the Haihuihui Association also notified the Taiwan Tourism Association's Beijing Office at the same time. We do not oppose that after the recovery of cross-strait tourism, the "Small Two Sessions" will communicate on specific issues in cross-strait tourism, but we oppose that the "Small Two Sessions" should obstruct mainland residents from traveling to Taiwan under the name of communication.

  The DPP authorities turned a deaf ear to the mainstream public opinion and industry voices in Taiwan for the sake of "independence" to confront one's nature and political self-interest, and turned a blind eye to the damage to the interests of grassroots people and industry insiders in Taiwan. They repeatedly obstructed cross-strait tourism and exchanges in various fields for various untenable reasons, which was unpopular. The industry on the island has expressed extreme disappointment and strong indignation for this. If they do not change their minds and blindly use their own interests, they will lose their hearts and suffer the consequences.
