Xiao Wei, deputy director of the Political Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, said in an interview on February 7 that the Supreme People's Procuratorate will continue to help grassroots reduce burdens and empower, improve quality and efficiency, improve and implement the system and mechanisms such as classified guidance of grassroots procuratorates, designated contacts of leading cadres, counterpart guidance of business departments, counterpart assistance of procuratorates, and cross-regional pairing and co-construction, and continue to promote the comprehensive progress and comprehensive strength of the construction of grassroots procuratorates.

Xiao Wei introduced that the Supreme People's Procuratorate revised and issued relevant regulations, coordinated the determination of 62 grassroots contact units of the court leaders and internal institutions, actively played the exemplary role of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and led and led provincial and municipal procuratorates to tilt more policies, forces and resources to the grassroots level, and promoted the overall improvement of the quality level of grassroots procuratorial work from point to surface.

At the same time, the Supreme People's Procuratorate guides local grassroots procuratorates to carry out cross-regional pairing and co-construction work, make full use of the advantages of procuratorial integration, and vigorously promote mutual learning of concepts, talent interaction, business learning, mutual promotion of work styles, and complementary advantages among paired grassroots procuratorates, and play an important role in jointly solving prominent problems and difficulties affecting and restricting grassroots development. At present, 843 grassroots procuratorates in 29 provinces across the country have formed a co-construction pair.

In 2024, the Supreme People's Procuratorate held a national symposium on counterpart assistance to procuratorates and deployed a new round of aid work. The Supreme People's Procuratorate coordinated and guided 22 counterpart assistance provinces to select 400 people to assist the work in the recipient areas, and 8 assisted areas to select 381 people to conduct job training in the counterpart assistance areas.
