At the construction site of the Madao Hub, the Pinglu Canal control project, the work area mayor Zhang Yao is directing workers to pour concrete. The Horse Road Hub Ship Lock is currently the largest inland water-provincial water lock under construction in the world. The lock has a complex structure and a total concrete pouring volume of 2.59 million cubic meters. These concrete can fill 1,036 international standard swimming pools. The progress of the Madao Hub is directly related to whether the Pinglu Canal can be completed on schedule.

According to the construction plan, during the Spring Festival, the two main side piers of the Horse Road Hub must be capped, and the construction period is tight. Zhang Yao, who has not been home for the New Year for two years, decided to stay at the construction site this year. She took her workers to make progress during the day and patrol the whole night at night.

Zhang Yao, the construction district director of the Pinglu Canal Poli Road Hub Project Department, introduced that he inspected the inspection from the middle pier to the midsole plate, and then to the side pier to see if the things arranged during the day were implemented. It was hard work but still had to persist. Since he chose to come to this project, he had to do it well. He felt it was worth it to be lucky enough to participate in this century project.

At present, half of the concrete pouring in Madao Hub has been poured. During the Spring Festival, it is the golden period of dry season construction. Looking down from the air, the lock foundation pit 60 meters deep from the ground has more than 250,000 square meters, 27 tower cranes stand around, and more than 440 sets of construction machinery are full of power, working together to create this hot scene full of sci-fi feel.

The construction site was in full swing, and the canteen of the project department was also warm. During this Spring Festival, many family members came to the construction site to celebrate the New Year with their relatives.

Wang Xianzhang, director of the Engineering Management Department of Guangxi Pinglu Canal Construction Co., Ltd., Pinglu Canal Group, said that the promotion of hub projects, bridge projects, as well as waterway projects and key projects will be accelerated to ensure that the Pinglu Canal project is completed as scheduled in 2026.

After the completion of the Pinglu Canal, the shortest, most economical and most convenient channel to the ASEAN region will be directly opened in Guangxi and the southwest region. The 5,000-ton direct river and sea ship can directly connect to my country's coastal ports and major ports in Southeast Asia from the Pinglu Canal.
