Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 2 (Reporter Wei Yukun) Recently, the General Office of the State Council forwarded the "Guiding Opinions on Building High-Quality Outdoor Sports Destinations" of the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Sports. The opinions clearly state that by 2030, about 100 high-quality outdoor sports destinations will be built nationwide to promote the outdoor sports industry to become a new economic growth point.
The opinion points out that the development of outdoor sports is an important measure to meet the people's growing needs for sports and health, promote the development of national fitness and related sports industries, cultivate new economic growth points, and promote the transformation of green waters and green mountains into gold and silver mountains.
The opinions clearly state that we must rely on high-quality outdoor sports resources and advantageous projects, and by improving the level of facility construction, service guarantee, and event organization, strengthen industrial agglomeration, business format integration, and radiation and driving roles, build high-quality outdoor sports destinations with complete facilities, high-quality services, rich events and internationally renowned, and drive the development level of my country's outdoor sports industry to significantly improve.
The opinions put forward six requirements on how to build high-quality outdoor sports destinations: First, rationally utilize high-quality outdoor sports resources, orderly develop outdoor sports under the premise of doing a good job in ecological and environmental protection, and scientifically layout high-quality destinations; Second, strengthen the construction of outdoor sports facilities, improve the level of supporting service facilities, and improve the accessibility of high-quality outdoor sports destinations; Third, promote the upgrading of outdoor sports products and services, improve product quality and service levels, and improve consumption experience; Fourth, improve the outdoor sports event system, enrich mass and national events, and strengthen international cooperation in event activities; Fifth, deepen the integrated development of industries such as outdoor sports, give full play to the driving role of outdoor sports on surrounding industries, and promote employment and income growth in the region; Sixth, improve the safety governance level of outdoor sports and optimize safety guarantee measures for outdoor sports.
It is reported that in the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Sports will work with relevant departments to strengthen organization and implementation, guide the planning, design and construction of high-quality outdoor sports destinations, fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the places where outdoor sports destinations are located, and gather forces from multiple parties to support the high-quality development of the outdoor sports industry.
